2011 Image competition + AGM

This years Annual image competition will be held at the Ravensdene Lodge Hotel on the 6th July. Our AGM will normaly start at 18.00 followed by the image competition at 18.30.  The competition is open to full members apart from the open category which can be used by affiliate and student members.

Please enter in to the spirit of the competition ie images included should be part of day to day work. In the case of any dispute the committees decision on images supplied will be final.

Images will be judged by 2 independent Judges who will provide points on each image 0-100.

Images must be no more than 2 years old. 

CATEGORIES.

WEDDINGS..

Images supplied must be taken at a real wedding on the day of the wedding. No composite images are allowed, ie an actual picture of a couple taken and then added to a different background etc. You may also be required to prove they were taken on the day of the wedding by providing other images such as signing of the register with meta data included.

PORTRAITURE..

Images supplied must be actual commissioned work and have been paid for by a person rather than a company.This would also include portraiture commissioned and paid for by a model for her own portfolio.

Any portrait work carried our for commercial third parties (ie using models) should be entered in to the commercial category.

 

PRESS/PR

Entries must be a real time job without the use of paid models with the inherent time and deadline constraints.

 

PICTORIAL/ ILLUSTRATIVE

To include landscapes, still life and non commissioned architectural work.

 

COMMERCIAL

To include industrial, architectural, product and company commissioned images.

 

OPEN CATEGORY

This is open to both affiliate and student members. This includes non-commissioned work and images that won't be eligible for the other categories such as abstract and composite images.

 

OVERALL WINNER.

The overal winner will be the photographer with the highest amount of points taken from 1st 2nd or 3rd place wins. In The event of a draw 4th  and 5th place points will also be count.

 

Entries are £3 per image with a max of 5 images per person per category.

Images supplied by e mail only to Secretary Bob Usher..... robertusherphotography@o2.co.uk.  Max file size 2mb making sure they are labeled which category they are intended for.  You will receive a confirmation e mail when they have been received.

 

Please ensure payments are made in full prior to the STRICT  closing date of midnight Friday the 24th June. Any images supplied after this date will be disqualified.
